I can think of a lot of reasons, why this is sad, firstly those victims who've had to live for decades with the knowledge of what he did, but thinking nobody would believe them. And his family, his wife, who appears unwell, and daughter, who had to try to disbelieve what her father had done. And he has deceived including me, a generation of fans who thought he was 'a good bloke', and who bought his records and CD's. He has actually said that because of his fame he was above the law.
The case will resume against South African Amputee sprinter, Oscar Pistorius, who shot his wife he claims accidently, he also had his legion of followers who admired his ability despite his disability. The case against U.S Gridrion superstar O.J. Simpson, who was acquitted of the murder of his wife, it assumed it was because he was an African American, and the fact he was a national sporting hero. Years later he would be arrested for his role in an armed robbery, an is now serving jail time.
